Prasouda Diet Plan - Whole Grains and Natural Carbohydrates

Good Carbohydrates

A balanced Prasouda Diet would not be without fiber.  It is recommended that men under 50 should have at least 38 grams of fiber per day.  For women, it is about 25 grams per day.  Look for whole grain breads, cereals, tortillas, etc.  Keep in mind that fruits and vegetables also contain fiber that can account for the daily intake recommendation.

Keeping in mind the above suggestions, let’s take a look at possible meal plans for each day while you are following the Prasouda Diet lifestyle.

Start with a combination of fresh fruits like apricots, apples, and pears.  Supplement with whole grain cereal, pancakes, granola, and oats.  It’s okay to have peanut butter, eggs and cheese, but don’t go overboard on the amounts.

Salads are ideal for lunch.  Begin with lettuce or spinach and garnish with olives, tomatoes, onions, red peppers.  Sliced oranges also go well with salads, as well as nuts so that the texture is more appealing and provides variety.  Don’t forget the extra virgin olive oil!  In addition, you can now start with whole wheat pastas and fish for example.

Dinner follows the same pattern with lots of fruits and vegetables accompanied by meats and carbs.  Try a Greek salad with grilled chicken or beef on the side, with couscous, tomatoes, and hummus.   A little amount of red wine is okay for consumption too.

We’ve talked about this before, and snacks in the Prasouda Diet plan should include various nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans.  Drizzle almonds and pour honey on low-fat yogurt for a delicious snack between meals.

It should be no surprise that fruits would be your best place to start here.  Apples, pears, peaches, bananas, strawberries, etc.  The possibilities are endless for a tasty treat after lunch or dinner.
